Völlig überteuert Wir hatten in der Nähe eine Ferienwohnung und wollten abends auf einen Cocktail in dieses Restaurant. Die Cocktails lagen preislich bei 15 € - da ja hätten wir schon gleich wieder gehen sollen. Der Strand ist leider so gut wie nicht mehr vorhanden und ansonsten sah es in der näheren Umgebung eher trostlos aus. Mein Tequila Sunrise war dann auch noch unterirdisch - und das für 15 €! Bei der Rechnung hat uns dann der Kellner noch ein teures Glas französischen Wein berechnet, was unsererseits nicht konsumiert wurde. Seafood as it should be Traveling with the family to Cancun/Playa area, going to lunch with my 2 sons - 24 and 19 years old. A little off the main strip is this gem, right on the water! I am known by family and friends for being a stickler, as I was a bartender and server as a young adult. Our server Polo, the bartender, and the staff who assisted were very patient and accommodating. They answered all of my questions, brought out a platter show the fresh seafood options, and were available as needed. I ended up with the 6 large shrimp meal and it was one of the best I ever had - seasoned and cooked to perfection with sautéed vegetables and rice that provided a perfect balance! Amazing "fishing village" restaurant The place is adorable. A couple of minutes walk from the very commercial streets of Playa del Carmen, and it feels like you are in a tiny fishing village. My partner took advantage of their wifi to get a bit of work done, while I spent the day watching fishermen and birds. Very relaxing. And, of course, the food was excellent. Their signature "whole fish" in particular, where they cook the catch of the day, was outstanding. Our waiter Uriel was very efficient and friendly, always there when we needed him, but never overwhelming. We never felt like we had to wait for someone to take care of us, and everything we ordered came rather quickly. Prices were very fair, as well. All round great experience Beautiful location overlooking the water, atmosphere was electric with a band playing while we were eating they were honestly AMAZING!! Great service Gabriel was our server and was excellent. The juices were delicious. We had breakfast twice and the French toast and arrechera breakfast skillet were awesome. The Rancheros was so so. 1st day was marred by a family who seemed to encourage screaming by the 2 kids that were running around and around the tables as they chatted away for an hour, 2nd day we sat under a tree for shade and had ants. Our fault for sitting under a tree. Also they had really loud ballad style music playing the 2nd day. Would have just preferred sound of the waves.
